So...Macs will soon be PC's?

Jun 07, 2005 17:28

I just read in the Oakland press that Apple will start using Intel processors in their computers instead of Apple using their own processors. To that end, if they do what would make them better then some of the other PC's on the market? An answer given in the paper was OSX. However, if a conversion kit for OSX is made to run it on the new "PC" version of a mac then what stops it from appearing on my Toshiba or another PC instead of Windows? Actually, according to the Oakland Press OSX has been developed as a duel system program since day 1. A "double life" they called it. I realize that I am primarily a PC user; a Toshiba notebook, an HP at work, an HP in my room, and a custom build for my Dad's business (Made from an old Gateway and after market parts). I was just wondering what more have any of you heard about this? What are your thoughts?
