I hate being under eighteen sometimes.....

because my opinions are never taken seriously. My family often thinks that my opinions can't be right because I'm just a fourteen year old snot that knows nothing. A good example? Earlier this morning, my grandmother was watching the newest updates over this whole Taliban fiasco. My grandmother, mother and cousin all agreed they should be nuked. Not only that, they were being totally biased and close-minded over the Islamic Religion. What set me off was this quote: "They say their bible allows this, my bible sure doesn't say that!!" Having listened to this rant for about fifteen minutes, I finally spoke up and said something. I pretty much said that no country in their right mind would go nuclear, and that they read the Koran, not the bible as religious text. I was civil, polite, and spoke my opinion intelligently. What did I get in return? Scowls, and people saying I know nothing of the subject or the reprocussions (sp?) of what has happened.

It annoys the hell out of me that just because I'm fourteen I can't be political.
