ACTION LOG; OPEN TO ALL

Oct 25, 2011 07:23

[In one of Igura's many streets, a teenage girl is, well, yelling.

At a wall.

Because freaking out and throwing a tantrum is the best way to figure this out, clearly.]

Oh. My. God.

I died.

Again.

Is this a thing now? Caroline dying? Seriously?! Dying sucks.

[She kicks the nearest wall, which caves in a little. Oops.]

[ Her words confuse him but he says nothing on that, instead his attention is briefly caught by the caved in wall before his eyes snap sharply back to her. ]

Calm yourself, woman! [ There's a sharp edge of annoyance to his voice and he stands out of reach, just within the edges of her vision. Cautious, in the face of the unknown. ] Destroying the walls that surround you will not undo your fate!

[ Caroline immediately locates him, but she looks...more embarrassed than threatening. ]

I wasn't trying to! The foundation must have been crappy! It was an accident. Don't be mad.

--I can fix it!

Maybe. Um.

[ His guard is still up, even in the face of her embarrassment. He doesn't move, keeps his grip tight on the tonfa he's found himself armed with. ]

How do you intend to fix what you have done? Surely not with the same childishness and anger that you destroyed it with!

Okay, so maybe I've never rebuilt a wall before, but I helped build a float not too long ago.

And I mean, how different can they be?

[ There are words on his tongue, an embodiment of his frustration and annoyance with the situation. But just as quickly as they build, they vanish. Lost to curiosity and confusion. ]

I have never heard of such a thing.

[ She blinks. He's never heard of a float?

Maybe they don't have floats where he's from. He does look all...foreign. ]

Floats are like...they're part of parades! You decorate a car or a trailer or something until it looks beyond amazing, or you can just build one from scratch. Either way, they're really cool.

Building them is a lot of work, but it's worth it.

[ Parade? Cars and trailers? More unfamiliar words.

His head inclines slightly, enough so that more of his face is visible even under the darkness of his hood. His expression is almost blank - almost. The way his brows furrow just the slightest and the look in his eyes says he doesn't understand.

His thoughts shift abruptly, though, to the idea that these things she speak of could be the product of Templar efforts. He straightens, grip tight on his tonfa. ]

Who provides you with these.. cars and trailers?

Parents, other kids...I think it was the Lockwood's trailer last time.

Lockwood?

[ This guarded look of curiosity - get used to it. ]

Lockwood, like, as in a last name. The Lockwoods are one of the four founding families of Mystic Falls, so they're really involved with all the big town events. I know their son, Tyler.

[ A quiet sigh and his hand tightens then loosens its grip on his tonfa. ]

Where is this 'Mystic Falls'?
