yeah yeah yeah.

I haven't done anything here for quite some time, so here's about 3 months worth of updates all put into a single paragraph... Well maybe a couple.

I think I've been sick since about January. Constant runny nose and all. Nothing too serious until about a week ago, when allegedly I had Strep Throat. I say allegedly because I have no means to prove it. It started with very flu-like symptoms including a fever that was followed by a bad case of the chills, a monumental headache, coughing/sneezing, but the worst was my throat. It fucking killed. So monday I got to the health center, and they take a look at me, give me a throat culture, and send me on my way with some meds. A couple days go by, and I just kinda keep getting worse, especially in the throat department. So I go back, and they tell me I was negative on the strep test, but something just didn't add up. So they tested me for mono, and that came back negative too. So, the doc says she's gonna give me some meds for Strep Throat just to see if maybe it might do something.

Well lo and behold, I started feeling 10x better like, 20 minutes after taking the damn pill.

And so I'm feeling a great deal better now. But boy did that suck.

Before all of this however, things with Yo, Adrian! just kinda kept getting better and better. We booked some shows after our debut before spring break, and from what we understand we've sounded better and better with each successive show. We added Eric on guitars, and things got even better. There seems to be a sort of buzz around Plattsburgh now with local shows and bands and everything, and all of that is extremely excellent. I just wish it didn't take 3 and a half years of school before it all started falling into place. Better late than never though, I suppose. But yeah, it feels really nice to be in a band finally that has been playing shows pretty regularly and is getting some positive attention coming its way. I love The Runs and I love playing with them, but we couldn't be in a worse place to try and be in a punk band. I thought we'd have the same problem in Plattsburgh with Yo, Adrian! but alas, things seem to be going pretty swell. Plattsburgh is a much hipper town than it gets credit for, I believe.

School is... school. I'm very much at the "D = Diploma" mindset with a couple of my classes. I'm thinking about throwing in an application to the radio station in Messena that's looking for a Production Director. I kinda had the idea set that I wanted to work and live in Plattsburgh for a while after graduating to get some money, and if I could get a job in a field that actually applies directly to my college degree, well I just see nothing but a bargain with that situation. So I'm gonna get on that when I get back up to the burgh.

I've got a girlfriend now, which has been nice. Though, it has also come with it's own set of growing pains and adaptations. I get this uneasy feeling sometimes where it feels like she needs me way more than I need her. I know that sounds awful, but it's not a testament to any kind of disliking I have for her. Quite the contrary. I guess I'm not really the kind of person that sees a "need" in relationships, but it's certainly nice when I can be involved in one. I'm also just kind of in a place where I'm really focusing on trying to finish school, and I'm also still trying to get to know her better, because things seem to be moving faster than I had ever really anticipated. Through it all however, it's nice to have someone who I know cares as much about me as she does. Sometimes I just need some space to step back and breathe.

All in all, things are good. Graduation s terrifying, but I'll tackle that bull when it charges.

Off to Florida on Tuesday for golf and The Mets. It's gonna be fantastico.

I'll update this in another couple of months, most likely.
