Luppi quirked a brow at his blue-haired brother, almost baring his teeth in a sneer at his unfinished words. He wanted to dare him to finish what he was going to say, but settled for sneering.

And just like Grimmjow, Luppi's eyes and attention were brought to Hanatarou. He watched, silent, and the moment he felt his brother's eyes back on him his own eyes darted back to meet their hard gaze. He listened to Grimmjow ask his questions to the shinigami, his hooded eyes darting away and back to Hanatarou.

He wanted to hear the runt's response.

The former 4th division member's work finally was completed on Edorad's arm and he drew his hands away from tightening the bandage. There, that should take care of what he couldn't in just a day's time. "Done ( ... )

One foot stepped back and the other followed to help Grimmjow keep his distance once Hanatarou started moving closer to him. There was no way he was next. Everyone else was in here and that meant there were others that could be healed. Why did he have to be next? Was it because he was the only one to open his mouth to direct his complaints to the source of the problems? It was probably all of the above and then some ( ... )

Edorad experimentally stretched out his bandaged arm, noting how well it was healed already but unwilling to give thanks to the healer. It was embarrassing enough to have been treated first; he wouldn’t be the first to thank Hanatarou as well. Not that he was feeling particularly grateful, of course.

What he was mostly feeling right now was amusement at the sight of Grimmjow backing away from the waif-like shinigami. He had seen the 6th stare down unimaginable horrors and foes before, but this, this was just a shrimp who wanted to help him! It was almost enough to make him laugh. Where was his pride now?

“What’s the matter, Grimmjow? Scared or somethin’?” Edorad couldn’t help but take a dig at his elder brother. It might not be particularly smart on his part, but the 13th arrancar didn’t feel like being clever at the moment. He just wanted somebody, anybody to suffer the same humiliation as him.

“Don’t worry, I’m sure even you could take it,” he added with a vaguely Luppi-like smile, a tinge of sadistic glee in the curl of his lips
