[Compile & Complete] Jinta, Rukia, Tatsuki, Chappy(s)

Tatsuki was a little surprised at Rukia's addressing her - clearly her, not her gigai - with the strange child present, but then the child made it clear that he was seeing her too. She mentally shrugged - there were still a lot of strange people in this town she had yet to meet.

"Sure," Tatsuki said matter-of-factly. "If I'm going to work out, I might as well train both bodies at the same time... And Chappy needs to learn a bit of discipline."

The Chappy in question was wheezing on her hands and knees, and wordlessly looked up at her master with puppy-dog eyes.

Tatsuki looked down at her disapprovingly. "Come on, now. I've done that workout in that body before, it's not that bad." She frowned and thought back for a moment. "Although... Okay, maybe not QUITE that fast." Another frown, another pause. "And we did sort of take the long way this time..." Chappy hung her head and whimpered.

New shinigami were so clueless. Was Ichigo this bad?

...yes. Yes he was.

Rukia crossed her arms over her chest and shook her head lightly before walking over to the girl. Training would have to wait a bit, it seemed. "You're confusing your gigai with your old body, Arisawa. It's not. There's really no need to exercise it, tone it. It doesn't have muscles as your old body did, not in the same way. It's not a human body, for growth and development. It's just a fake shell."

Tossing her head back at Jinta, she quirked a brow at him. "Oi. She got her gigai from your manager right? Tell him to at give some education on things when selling them, not just run off to the back to count his money. Ch'. Whatever. So long as you didn't get the same gigai I had, guess he did you a favor."

Yep, that's what he thought. No need to exercise a gigai. Well, it made sense, really. You couldn't build a real body, with muscles and tissue and blood, because it would start to rot the moment it didn't have a soul in it. Which meant, you wouldn't be able to sell it. You'd have to custom build each gigai, and it would take a heck of a lot longer. Not efficient and certainly not beneficial for a business.

He raised his eyebrows at Rukia, stepping to the side in order to be included a bit easier in the conversation. Was she implying that Manager was a poor business man? No, sounded more like she was implying that he was irresponsible. Which he could be, at times, but for the most part wasn't, and Jinta opened his mouth to defend Urahara.

Except what came out was, "Hey, it's simply logic, ain't it? Why would she think she was gettin' a body like her old one? No one ever said anything like that." Of course, he was assuming that last part.

Tatsuki frowned at the words 'fake shell.' Even after months of "being a shinigami," her life had only really felt different in a few emergencies. Other times, she was basically the same as always - and it was difficult to come to terms with the idea that the more-or-less normal life she continued to lead was a fiction. So however accurate the term 'fake shell' was, it still made her expression dark.

"Oh... I see. I wasn't sure. But jogging is all I can do right now - I don't know enough about swordsmanship to train by myself, and at least this way I can clear my mind." Tatsuki glared at Chappy, standing up again after she had caught her breath. "And this one does need the discipline - maybe next time she'll think twice about chasing bunnies across a battlefield." Chappy gave Tatsuki a pitiable look of repentance.

Turning to the small redhead, Tatsuki's brow furrowed as she tried to place him. "Hey, kid... Who are you, anyway? You know Urahara?" If Urahara was the kid's "manager," then he was... a member of a junior sports team? And Urahara was the... Okay, no. Probably the kid worked at Urahara Shouten. Weren't there child labor laws about that?

"Oi. Chappy-chan. Go study with Chappy-chan. Both of you can tell me and Arisawa later what you've read," Rukia said with a jerk of her head over to her own proxy soul gigai sitting on a bench reading. And totally not ADD'ing and watching a bird hop along the ground and try to find worms.

"Proxy souls don't learn discipline. They're made to aid us and keep our gigai safe, and surrounding people too when we fight in the living world. They can put up quite a fight too. Take up any design issues you have with them with Kurotsuchi-taichou. Or Akon."

Shrugging softly, Rukia tapped her fingers on her zanpakuto hilt and eyed the girl. Everyone had to start somewhere. "The kid and I here were about to train a bit. You can join us."

Jinta watched the two Chappy-gigai's, thinking that it was highly unlikely that they would actually successfully learn anything to relate to the shinigami. Then again, he wasn't a designer of proxy souls, so he hardly knew their abilities and limitations. His experience with them was limited to recent events, seeing as he didn't need a proxy soul, since he was still alive. Still, he could have guessed that proxies weren't meant for certain things, which made him wonder about this girl's general level of intelligence. Then again, she had just become a shinigami. She was allowed some mistakes.

He offered the new girl a look that was no different from his usual guarded, slightly sneering one. He didn't object to her training with them, and in fact looked forward to it. Training with two others enhanced a certain kind of fighting style, one that would benefit greatly the next time Adaro unleashed multiple Hollows onto the city.

"Yeah, join us. Let's see what you got."

Tatsuki was impressed at the red-headed kid's bluster - reminded her of someone, really - and laughed cheerily. "You still didn't say who you were, shorty," she said with a grin, "but all right. Let's go."

She wasn't really sure how to go about training as a Shinigami, so she followed the lead of the other two, as the Chappy-chans slacked off on the sidelines. And as they trained, what brought a smile to her face - even moreso than finally being able to practice properly as a Shinigami - was the thought that all passerby could see of it was a redhead kid shadowboxing in the park.
