My first trip to the east coast. Finally Seeing New York, Time Square. All those gimmicks. I expected the island to be longer, as in things would be more spaced out with farther distances between things. But mostly everything i needed was within a 20 block span. Friday was my first 'tour' of the city as i spend thrusday in a really nice house in Allentown. This day i would be acommanied with Cary, the Irish Airborn and a bud of theres. Lots of walking. I think i've walked as much, if not more, than i have ever walked in one year of my life...and thats including the yearly trip to the State Fair. It was A LOT of walking. One thing i noticed is traffic isnt as bad as its made out to be, as travleing while in a car was reletivly easy (if you dont get lost). Central Park, The Cathedral, Time Square. Sadly i did not make my way to ground zero, as that was at the southern half of the island and we were in the middle. MSG was a pretty nifty place. LOTS of Nacho Libre banners everywhere. Where was even a Royal Rumble Banner still up on one of the streets...YOu'd figure they would take that down??
Friday consisted of tours and much walking. then going out on my own for a few hours, then meeting up for some dinner at the Carnegie Deli were the walls were filled with photos of celebrities that ate there. we took a tour of the village till 1am then caught a limo back to the hotel. i headed out again and was searching for a place that sold Smoothies at 2am cuz i was craving one. And i found one. I was not mugged this night. Saturday was another day of exploring alone. The ROH Show was hours away and i had time to kill. Found a chinse place. Decent i suppose. and continued walking around till it was hot and returned to the Hotel until Lacey called to meet up. Fun times there, i'll elbaroate later.
