"Resurrection"
The ancient trees have shed their clothing
The sun's face set in loathing
And as I walk the dead crumble at my feet
The world has begun to change, forgetting heat
A season of beauty has begun to fade
And with a solemn one we are repaid
The earth's creatures stow deep away
As shadows start to overpower day
The frigid waters creating a glazed mirror
To view night skies that seem so much clearer
Bitter winds that chill your brittle bones
Whipping breezes in melancholy tones
Throughts troubling our shallow brains
Frozen blood burning our veins
Soon a blanket will cover this land
Glittering snow like the desert's sand
But father time cannot live so dreary
As his own heart will soon grow weary
Then a season of new life will be born
And the crippling blanket shall be torn.
