Because I'm awake

Lots of poetry. Four today, another one a few days ago. They should all go up under my writing filter, but I like to space these things out, so only one or two today.

Not doing too much with art. My muse is fickle and likes to pick for me where my creativity will flow. My guess is as good as any if I will be working on a story, poetry, or art, which is a little unfortunate when I want a career in any of them. Must learn discipline, or keep with my plan to make others work by my leisure instead of me for their deadline.

I am behind on general things of the interwebs, but I don't care. Barely used the computer yesterday because of pain, and I have been doing things like meditating and simply trying to relax instead. I need to do this more often -- simply have a 'day off' every few days or once a week where I don't use the computer except for things like writing. Spend the day to myself and appreciating it, instead of wallowing in the loneliness of it all.

Oh, and we went out for sushi last night, because neither Josh nor I have tried much. What I've tried, I didn't like, but I know there's supposed to be a lot of variety, so I've always wanted to give it more of a chance. The actual sushi that Brian ordered (forget the names, but one type had salmon and the other crab) was all right. Nothing I could eat commonly, but good.

I had Thai Coconut soup, which was really sweet and spicy. It was weird, at first, but it had grown on me and was pretty tasty by the end of the bowl. Last, but not least, as I enjoyed it the most, calimari. Yep, octopus. I figured I should go as extreme as possible, and it's something I've wanted to try. Pretty damn good, especially with the sauce that it came with. However, fried alligator is yummier. How I miss cajun food.

More later, perhaps. Behind on journal entries too. But I think my body already protests this.

thai, japanese, calimari, sushi, poetry
