You maybe the best person to ask. I have been trying to find out more about what happened to Cassian. Would you be kind enough to tell me what you know about it?

That for some reason Cassian feels he is protecting the people he cares about in the City from whomever is holding him against his will. He won’t say where he is or who is threatening him.
[And Eagle was also charged with watching out for you while Cassian was away, but he doesn’t mention this part out loud. At least not right away. ]
I have been trying to find out who that person is.

That person is a vampire named Rido. Cassian was tied to him during a curse and has been with him ever since. [There's an undertone of barely contained rage in his voice.]

Why does Cassian stay with him? I know this ‘Rido’ must be threatening him with something… perhaps harm to some one he cares about… [You. ] But, why would his threats carry any weight?
[Eagle doesn’t really know what a vampire is, what his powers are… or how one man could successfully threaten an assassin. But, maybe most importantly.]

Because he is a damned overprotective fool.
I don't know. If I did, I'd have tried to pull him out already. I've only seen him once -- he and the vampire were on the beach. I tried to bring him back but he thwarted my attempt.
