Summary: Raito has a dark secret that he can't tell anyone about. But he doesn't know how much longer he can keep this secret before it breaks him. When L and Raito cross paths will L be able to figure out Raito's secret? And if he does will he be able to save Raito before it's too late?

It was just another day in the life of Raito Yagami. Another day of waking up, getting dressed, and going to school. Another day of pretending that nothing's wrong, that everything's alright. Pretending that he was still the person he used to be. But he wasn't that person anymore and he wasn't sure if he ever would be that person again.
Raito was tired of pretending. He wanted to tell someone what was happening. But he couldn't - who would believe him? Certainly not his father. Maybe his sister, Sayu, would but then she would tell dad and he wouldn't believe it. He couldn't tell the police either - his dad was the police chief and he find out about it. If his dad ever found out he would blame Raito and kill him.
Raito didn't want to die. What would happen to Rina and Haru if he died? Raito didn't know and that terrified him. He couldn't afford to die, he couldn't leave Rina and Haru behind. He had to live for them - no matter what.
Raito knew it wouldn't be long before his secret broke him completely. Something needed to change and soon.
Raito wasn't a religious person by any means but, he got down on his knees and prayed. He prayed that somehow, someway someone would come and save him, Haru and Rina before it was too late. He could only hope that his prayers would be answered.
