Uke!L Fanfic Recommendations?

I've been seized by an insatiable thirst for reading uke!L fanfics, and I see that they're very very rare, so I'd be immensely grateful if you lovely fellow fans could recommend me your favourite uke!L fanfics.

LightxL is my OTP for this fandom, so those fics would be most appreciated. And in general, I love seeing L as the uke, so any seme other ( Read more... )

Try 'Fever Dreams' by sashocirrione. This can be found on AO3 and FFN, for definite.

Actually, not only do I seem to find more fics in which L is the receptive sexual partner, but, yeah... refering to 'who tops' and who doesn't as seme and uke is not only propelling and encouraging a potentially harmful stereotype (for example, by labelling one individual in a couple as an 'uke', you are imbuing him with weak, submissive, feminine qualities that encourage patriarchy and misogyny and, in someways, victim blaming in cases of rape and sexual assault), but also narrowing your own mind; just because a person tends to be the receptive partner, it doesn't mean they are the 'woman' of the relationship. It's actually as stupid as asking a vegetarian which of their favourite vegetables are 'the Sausage' or 'the Steak' in their diet.

You mean to say 'I love seeing L as the receptive partner' or 'I love seeing L on the bottom' (although being physically below your partner during sex does NOT necessarily mean you are the one being penetrated, as in 'cowboy/girl' positions). The meaning is the same, but it avoids using harmful and moronic terms.

I hope that helps.

Thanks for the recommendation.

Actually, I despise seme uke stereotypes. I always have. In my head, the word uke just means a man who gets penetrated during sex. It doesn't have any behavioural connotations and most certainly doesn't mean someone who's weak. I also hate patriarchy and misogyny, I'm a hardcore feminist.

And yes I like seeing L be penetrated. It has nothing do with how his personality is or what his hobbies are.

I don't attach behavioural qualities to the terms seme and uke. So I'd appreciate it if you stopped assuming that I did.

Thanks again for the rec.

Oh, of course I'm not assuming that you believe in those stereotypes. I'm just alerting you to the fact that you shouldn't use any term like that unless you're aware of the connotations attached and the way you'll be perceived if you use them, regardless of how you regard them yourself - if you know the terms seme and uke have those connotations, and you despite those connotations, then don't use them. As I said in the original post, there are ways of communicating the same message without using the terms, so you don't need to use them at all.

It's alright. I hope you enjoy the fic.
