Last week I went to a going away party for one of my girlfriend's good friends. It was in a pretty bad neighborhood. We were drinkin' plenty and hangin' out.
My girlfriend went to the alley to piss and was gone for a few moments longer than she should've been. So her friend and I went into the alley to look for her.

We ran across some gang-members hangin' out by a Surburban and (the details aren't too clear) her friend called one of them a bitch. She got decked in the mouth.
I'm not one for letting women get hit so I stepped in and told him to back off. Next thing I know, 6 to 8 pussies start attacking me from all sides.
Knowing I was out-matched, I huddled and blocked the most vital parts of me. I got hit in the face and back plenty of times.
After a couple minutes of this lop-sided beating, my girlfriend saw us and stepped in [somehow breaking it all up].
The main dude that hit her friend got right in her face: "Oh, you want me to beat your ass like I just beat his?" At this point, my girlfriend saw the cops coming into the alley and started talking shit back to him. This other chick pulls her aside and tells her: "Don't start talking shit, he's already pissed. Is that your boyfriend there? I feel sorry for him; he got his ass beat for something he didn't do. Tell your friend to keep her mouth shut."
I scrambled to my feet and we left the alley. We walked away from the cops. We walked away from the party. We left the area completely. I hobbled to a nearby busy street and we called friends to come pick us up. Two awesome friends. Doug and Celica. Thank you both.
Here I am today. I couldn't sleep laying down at first. I just barely got into the habit of sleeping on my side. As far as I know, the only real lasting pains are [what feels to be] my bruised kidney and my constant headache which hasn't gone down since that day. No hospitals for me.
