[After speaking shortly with Armand, Louis turns to leave the infirmary believing he can slip out just unnoticed as he came in]

[Martha had been out for her two am movie nights... something that'd become a bit of a rarity of late. She'd decided to check in on the infirmary and she almost ran into Louis. Her voice was soft when she spoke so she didn't wake anyone up.]

Louis?

[After the content of Armand's brief conversation, Louis had been momentarily attentive to this thought rather then if he could escape the infirmary undetected. A woman spoke his name under her breath and he lifted his head to find the source. He knew her. The muscles in his face barely moved but the smallest of fleeting smiles came and went]

The dark lady.

[As soon as he whispered it he remembered more. A ship flying through the stars. Claudia. A city with hearts falling from the sky. Turning into his child self. Masterworld. They all ran into one, but they were there. Louis expression was one of deep and utter regret.]

Dr. Jones. I... this is death, isn't it? I know this place. I have been here before.

[Martha was a bit surprised when he called her 'The Dark Lady'. She hadn't been called that in a very long time. The words brought an unexpected smile to her lips, and she was quite glad to get the reminder of it; the last few days had been very hard. Martha took a few steps closer to Louis when he whispered the words, because it was good to know that he wasn't going to do anything like not know her and attack her. Hopefully, anyway.

She smiled to him when he called her by her name and she felt much more reassured.]

Yes, Louis, you're back on the Barge. And I'm afraid, yes, you are dead. [There was another smile, but this one was more curious.]

It's odd that you're back... Claudia just returned as well. Must be some kind of plan...

Yes... her.

[Louis was almost at tears. Armand had mentioned Claudia, if not briefly. She was the cause of his wounds. But unlike the Louis who was on the barge with his beloved, he had returned from a long absence; back from reality where more than a hundred years had passed. The pains of separation ran so deep and so taught it was difficult to breathe.

His eyes couldn't meet Martha. His head faced the wall, eyes flicking from side to side as he processed his emotions. He was back on the barge, dead and Claudia was here. It was almost like having a panic attack, an immortal panic attack. He clutched his chest with a clawed hand]

It... it cannot be true.

[Worry filled Martha's form when he said 'her in that manner. It had to be hard coming back to find out that someone whom Louis had already lost twice was there once more, in addition to all of the stress that came with simply returning to the Barge after a prolonged absence. She wondered what he had been doing here in the infirmary, and then shoved the thoughts aside when he moved to face the wall.

Quickly Martha was at his side, and she carefully put a hand on his arm in an effort to calm him and offer him a bit of grounding. The way that he had touched his chest with his hand had made her think that he was more human than he normally acted--it was a very mortal gesture.]

It is true, Louis, I've spoken to her myself.
