It was obvious that the little bastard was up to something. The way he had challenged Mello in his journal made it clear that he had some kind of twisted plan in mind, or perhaps he was just being a masochist. Mello didn't care which, he'd only be happy to grant the boy the share of torture he so thoroughly sought. He also didn't care about his own injuries, his unmarred faced covered by a square patch, held by some tape. The blow he'd received from Ice hadn't been nice, but it wasn't anything that couldn't heal with time and the right care.
Two firm knocks were heard on Noir's room (as Near liked to call him). Then, silence.
