LOL. It's one of those things that you can just acknowledge and move on from. Like puppies. Everybody likes cute puppies (more or less) but saying "OMG ADORABLE PUPPY" is enough. Don't need to go on about it.

Situations where every single sex act is insanely hot, multiorgasmic, and nobody ever says or does anything wrong or even less than perfect make me suspicious. ;)

Yes, particularly considering how she's usually considered the Dom bitch in the Capitol, on top of it.

Yeah, there's that, and of course, the one person who she really opened up to, i.e., Finnick, still didn't love her romantically in the end, so that's made her kind of close off even more. Not that they're not BFFs or that she's holding back on him now, but it's made her more romantically cautious.

But probably good that neither of them got it at first because otherwise they might have panicked and stopped doing it with each other. ;)

Probably so. "OH SHIT hit the panic button." XD

Also, since I didn't explicitly state it before let me say now that I enjoyed the fic a lot, obviously. It's a great and subtle bit of writing.

I figured you didn't hate it! ;) But danke schoen for that. It was one of those things in HID that kind of got skimmed a bit--there was that first night, a brief look at agreeing "So, we want to keep doing this?" the next night, and then it kind of skipped the next few weeks and went right to the last night before the Capitol where they're comfortable enough for her to kind of go with the impulse of trying, "So, you're on top tonight." (Though I think, as I had her reflect in AFAF, it was kind of a "Fuck it, I might die, I should at least try this.")

So this was a good chance to step back and look at something in the middle there and trace some of that development--kind of a nice contrast also to writing some scenes set in AFAF that show how far they've come.
