[Distraction time, Yomiko! Jaime's started to bring his inventions-in-progress to work. It might be a bad idea normally, but you know what? He's seen her look off and well, no one's in the library often enough to notice machines running around.

So this current invention is... actually doing nothing. And that's kind of the problem. Jaime just stares at it for a moment before he sighs:] When I want an invention to go haywire... it never does. What is up with that?

Huh? You... don't want your new invention to work, Jaime?

Huh? Uh, no... it's just... it's not doing anything. See? [he pokes it again. The invention... does absolutely nothing.]

Huh... what is it supposed to do?

According to my plans... [hastily glances at obviously blank paper] It's supposed to twirl around and jump three times every time you poke the red button.

...oh. [Yomiko walks a little circle around the invention, giving it a closer inspection, and after a moment of hesitation, pokes the button herself.]
