[Visitors of the library today will find something quite of the ordinary: Yomiko is not reading. Instead, she's decided to try to get into the spirit of the upcoming holiday and make the library more... Halloweenish. One of the tables now displays a number of horror novels she enjoyed and she's seated at another putting her paper mastery skills to ( Read more... )

[Jaime would probably force her to go back to work, but he's currently being way too impressed by those origami bats flying around the library. Slowly approaching her, he rubs the back of his neck.]

... That's pretty impressive.

Thank you! I'm still debating over where would be best to place them. I thought they might look nice hanging from the bookshelves, but then again they might look good perched atop the copy of Dracula I set over on the table. What do you think?

Huh. Were you planning to do anything else with the bookshelves? Because as cool as bats are, I don't know if they and a possible pumpkin exhibit might go together.

Well, the thought of spiders and webs had crossed my mind...

What's this about pumpkins? What did you have in mind, Jaime?

Something classic? That always works.

I was thinking along something involving carved jack-o-lanterns for the kids. Something kinda whimsical, but not necessarily cutesy? I'm not really sure. [shrugs]

I'm open to suggestions if you have any!

Jack-o-lanterns... I like it! We could use them to decorate the outside entrance! I wonder if we'll get trick-or-treaters... Perhaps I should buy some sweets.

[She makes the bats land on the display table.] A very good idea, Jaime!

That'd work. And if we do get trick-or-treaters, why don't we dress up too? It'd be fun.

No problem, Yomiko. That's what I'm here for, right?

Dressing up sounds fun! What would you dress as, Jaime? And what should I dress as... perhaps a character from a novel? That would be fitting for a paper master...

And you're very good at it!

I don't know. Maybe as a superhero? I haven't really given much thought to it yet... And I'm sure you'll have fun no matter what you dress up as.

Heh, thanks.
