[So easily hackable it's laughable]
*sigh* And everything seemed to be going to well too. Finally left to my own devices and able to start working at library and now there's rumors of murder... and panty-theft?!... working their way around. I really need to pop my head up from my books now and again and pay attention to what people are talking about.
I know I was told to ignore the rumors, but now that I'm paying attention and they're so abundant, it almost seems negligible not to listen. Without any hard solid evidence being presented, I fear for the worst. At this rate, people are going to become suspicious of one another... And that won't do any good whatsoever.
I just hope that the policing force here resolves the matter quickly. If something happened to one of my friends... I don't know what I'd do. I'm not even sure what I ought to do. Tread lightly, I suppose... and go nowhere without a large, heavy, hardcover novel. A better defense then nothing, I suppose. It's too bad that there's not a book on the history of this place. I would be most interested to know the history of Memento Eden and the people who inhabited here before I arrived.
I wish the trip to the memorial had jogged a memory... Seeing Nenene's name didn't bring to mind anyone I might have known. Maybe I'm not this 'Yomiko Readman' after all. I wish I knew... or that I could have met Nenene Sumiwagara before she departed.
Well, even if I didn't know her, I hope she's back home, safe and with all of her memories... like everyone else who has departed here that I didn't get the opportunity to meet.
