Whispers Seen In Their Eyes

Jan 17, 2009 03:15

Daddy's all caged. Caged up, just like Princess, but not in our usual way.

Bars of metal, bars to make us weak, bars...

Bars what make me thirst, because I can't eat no more.

Daddy says it'll all be OK. I says not. I says to look at the ones who sleep with us. The ones who got given cages, too.

One of them's special. I see her... Not one kind, nor another. She's like little brother, except... Except not. She's different. Not from my world, not like the people not-not-not!

She don't like me, so much. Tells me to look away or else she'll do something to my eyes.

The other one don't. She likes my whispers... I tell her things, of far, far away. I see what she's seen. I see how she was made. I see...

Castles.

Then there's my Angel.

Don't worry, daddy. They'll let us eat soon.

Harold made the world go on fire, see. Just like you.
