Below I've added a few lines of my recent writing I would like to showcase. Also: Keaghan, if you ever get your Cali-critter butt back online come see me sometime.
Then there they were, at first just one shape low at the ground, creeping along its mucus excretion. Then behind it two more following in its mucus trail, all of them amorphous slug shapes. At the sight of 'Asad the first slug made a baying to the others, and the three of them slowly began to bunch up. They were the Faceless ones, and as they stood their bodies began to rearrange into bipeds, their prehensile tentacles wrapping together into arms and legs. What might be their head formed like rising bubbles, and antennae sprouted from this spot.
...
Now though some horror unthinkable lay ahead of him. Somehow the two Faceless ones had bodily merged when 'Asad threw them together. One was growing larger, and the other was cocooned in a lacteal sac attached to it. With every pulsation the first grew bigger, and the cocooned Faceless drained into it. 'Asad had no time to wait and swung his axe into the cocoon. As it split open a fetid milky mucus poured from the sac and flushed out a now fetal Faceless one. The frankenform Faceless one only made some guttural noise of annoyance, and turned its burning hatred towards 'Asad full force; the aura of evil blasting 'Asad with abhorrent energy that left him vomiting in his mouth.
...
As the Faceless helplessly slammed its left arm into the city again 'Asad made his lunge, and firmly planted himself on the creature's "wrist." As the Faceless whipped about, 'Asad stayed low and clambered up the thing's arm reaching its unnatural head. Again he took his lochaber's crook and now thrust it between two of the Faceless's entwined tentacles that formed its arm. The blade sliced through until he hooked the axe against a tendon, and with a great force he ripped the lochaber out dragging the tendon with it. Every kind of unnatural curse that the Faceless could bellow echoed through the city as the arm was now rendered lame. And suddenly, it was the Faceless one who was afraid.
