The Perks Of Being A Wallflower

Well, I took some advice, and borrowed The Perks Of Being A Wallflower. I just finished it. This is the greatest novel I have ever read, and I recommend it to everyone. I can't explain how much I related to the protagonist, Charlie, through his stage of development. The detail of the letters really does make the story more intimate than a diary would be. There's so much emotion flowing from the story, and I actually feel emotions toward the book. I was scared for Charlie, upset with Craig, I really was into this. I have to say, that I don't think I'll ever forget this story, and I'm going to buy myself a copy just so I can always read it, in times where I am feeling undeserving. I truly don't think that any other book can beat this. I noticed the many books and songs mentioned in the story, and have decided to search for them all, so I can relate even more to Charlie's feelings and experiences. I just wish I knew the name of the song that made him feel "infinite".

Novels mentioned in The Perks Of Being A Wallflower:

The Catcher in the Rye

A Separate Peace

On the Road

This Side Of Paradise

Naked Lunch

Walden: Lessons for the New Millennium

Hamlet

The Stranger

The Fountainhead

The Great Gatsby

To Kill a Mockingbird (I have read)

I'll be reading all these books before the summer hopefully.

I also just finished The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and I recommend it to anyone who isn't easily confused. It will be a great movie (remake) that they're coming out with soon.
