This song always makes me think happy thoughts; hopeful ones. Paradise, beauty, the ocean, etc. It's really just a little 2 minute interlude actually, but damn....happy thoughts. OK, I was studying for soc. again and I wrote another poem. It's about listening to Sonic Youth....I think:
Confession
By Tim Conley
When the music stops I don't feel the same,
A lonesome labeling theory gave me a vision,
A hope/practice/destiny....
But not anymore:
It's just a cold room, once luke-warm,
I couldn't live here,
Or at all before the moments beckoned by Michael,
Slaying Satan on Amsterdam....
No one else saw it,
I'll always be by myself for those moments,
Helping overcome, calculating infinity,
What number any closer to God?
And each of these only only when the music stops,
Re-sucked under my hood after eight,
Try to think, relapse it all away:
But fades in time will never swish us back again,
to where I'd like to be....
No, that's not about Sonic Youth....nevermind. OK, that's it. Sociology test tomorrow. I might restart the job search again 'cause I need money. Don't have time to work, 'cept on weekends, but that'll have to do....blagh. I'm so screwed. Mkay, goodnight.
