Here you are.
personality: > Duo generally comes off as a bright, cheerful individual, he always tries to be friendly and help out his friends. Most of the time he’s a very likeable person, smiling, joking, goofy and he doesn’t seem like he has a care in the world. He never comes off as stupid, but very few would suspect that there’s a keen mind and a skilled fighter behind the relaxed, friendly demeanor. He takes his work as one of the soldiers seriously, even while coming off as flippant and carefree. People tend to like him or be annoyed by his happy demeanor, but neither reaction seems to bother him, and he has a tendency to pay more attention to someone if they try to brush him off, though whether if this is to try and make friends or just because he likes bugging them is hard to tell. That having been said he has a snarky sarcastic streak a mile wide and doesn’t shrink from telling people exactly what he’s thinking, or when he thinks they've done something stupid.
He doesn't have a lot of trust in authority or organized military, or in anyone other than himself, but his trust can be earned if you're willing to try. Even if he doesn't trust you he's not likely to show it very much, everyone tends to get the same Duo whether he hates you or likes you unless it's some pretty extreme hate. While he doesn't seem to like fighting in particular Duo does enjoy his job more than would seem strictly healthy for even a semi-normal 15 year old boy. He seems to think nothing of killing other soldiers, but draws the line at needlessly killing civillians. He is supposed to be one of the good guys after all, even if he shamelessly admits to being a killer and a terrorist when asked. He seems reasonably comfortable with the dichotomy, though whether that's another layer of carefree persona or true is hard to say.
Other than that he's just a normal teenage boy. Or at least he can look an act like one. He's friendly and open and seems to make friends easily, even if it takes a bit of work to get to be what he really considers a friend. But once he does he's remarkably loyal, coming to the aid of friends or comrades without a second thought, even if he does protest.
abilities: Nothing supernatural, but Duo is a good shot, skilled with demolitions, a capable engineer and a skilled pilot as well as being in excellent physical condition.
any plans for your character here?
possessions: Deathscythe The clothes on his back and a 9mm pistol with a full clip
samples.
sample journal entry: Well, this is new. Anyone around? [mumbles] This might not be smart, but guess I gotta. [clears throat] This is Duo, any other pilots out there? Heero? Quatre? Any of you?
[sighs] Oh well.
Anyone else out there? I'd be happy to meet all of you if I wasn't stuck in this cell. I promise I didn't do anything, so maybe a little help? I'd do it myself, but I left my explosives in my other pair of pants.
third-person sample:
Man, this sucked. Hadn't he just gotten out of a cell? This one was different, he'd give 'em that, he didn't know OZ still used something as archaic as stone these days. Not to mention it was damp and Duo was sure he had fallen asleep with a rock in the small of his back. It didn't help that he was still feeling like hell from the working over OZ had given him, he knew he had a split lip and the pain when he breathed probably meant bruised ribs at the least.
He sat up, looking around at the still bodies around him. Something else new, OZ and the Alliance had both believed in solitary for terrorists like him. Which meant that either this wasn't OZ or the Alliance (possible) or they didn't know who he was (which was even better.) He'd never been a big fan o prison anyway, but without super strength or any of his explosives he was kind of stuck for now. At least until he saw a jailer, someone that could get him out of here. Or that he could assault to get himself out of here, that would work too. It did make it more complicated that he really wasn't sure this was just a misunderstanding. He was sure plenty of people on Earth had nice, dank dungeons they could toss him in, but then what were all these other people doing here?
He smiled and leaned back against the brick wall, seeming a lot more relaxed than he actually was as his eyes flicked over the walls to the barred door, looking for ways out, possible weaknesses. "So" he finally said to whoever was awake and listening "Did anyone bring a pack of cards? I think we might be here awhile."
