Just got back in from Atlanta, the Cruxshadows concert was AWESOME. I was expecting it to be on the outskirts of Atlanta but it was right in the heart of downton Atlanta, (one way streets galore). We had a hard time finding our way around to get a room, (it's easy to drive around something, but when you get in amongst all the tall skyscrapers, they block your view and you kind of have to guess where you're going) we finally said fuck it and got a rom at the Marriott ($227 for a fucking room), not counting valet parking which was another $23, so my bank account is close to being non existant, but I had a great time none the less. The band's performance was so energetic. This was my first Cruxshadows concert, I've seen their perormances before on their new 'Shadowbox' dvd but nothing compares to a live performance. Rogue worked the crowd, as well as the other members of the band. Rachels violin was awesome. Rogue had as many people that would fit, probably halff the audience on stage singing 'Marilym, My Bitterness'. I mean how many bands do you know that go that far to get in touch with their fans. Actually had time to talk to Rogue after the concert, wanted to tell him I was sorry to hear about what happened to Jessica after the show in Albion, (for those of you who don't know, someone slipped a 'Ruffy' into her drink and she wound up in the hospital). Picked me up a Shadowbox tour t-hirt, a couple of stickers, and their 'Night Crawls In' cd. Given the cahnce to go see them again, I would go in a heartbeat, just wished they would come back to Asheville again so I don't have to drive so far.
