they want to search my luggage, and find the 48 Nurofen Plus and 50 melted Cadbury flakes I'm smuggling for Abby.
If there's room, please also smuggle me some Peanut Lion bars. The ones with the blue wrapper. :P

How do you know about Lion bars? In any case, they will be smuggled, though in all probability, I'll eat most of them while waiting for the plane to taxi onto the runway.

There's lots of nice, non-Jay-related spots in Marin County too (where Heidi lives), although how pleasant they would be would also depend on the weather. The Bay Area is pretty mild, so it's not necessarily freezing and raining in the winter.
You actually can get Lion Bars here at a few fancy-pants grocery stores like Mollie Stone's -- but only the regular ones, with the brown wrappers. My friend countblastula is obsessed with them and when I went to England 4 summers ago he demanded I bring him back a stash of the Peanut ones.

Hopefully I can talk Abby into perhaps spending the first few days, or last few days of my trip in San Francisco. Come to think of it, there might be some pretty nifty new year celebrations there. Shame I'm not yet legally able to drink...

But yeah, there's plenty of time to plan potential fun things to do, and 3 weeks should hopefully be a big enough time frame for you to get down here.
And as for Lion bars, this sounds terrifying!

Okay, okay. I'm 21 in February.
The Lion bar cereal is terrifying. The only people who eat those sorts of foods over here are students who go shopping when drunk, or Snackspot fans. :P
