Gotta give credit where credit is due.
I must admit,
for the past year I've harbored a fair amount of resentment towards my dad for the amount of money he had borrowed from me, (let's just say, it was a lot....) For first couple of years, I didnt' need it so I didn't care that much then, but when it started to REALLY put the pinch on me in the past 12 months or so, I started to really get kinda resentful. It felt like he didn't care about paying me back and didn't care about the trouble it was causing me (like I said...it was a LOT...). I hate to be one of those people who get all angry about money, but when yer having trouble making payments for the last flight class ya ever gotta take, it starts to get to ya...
But, he has recently paid me back in full, and then some. A fair amount of some. He's even helping me out a little now, which is really saving my ass because, although I have some more loans that I COULD take out if I absolutely needed it, I am trying to avoid that at all possible costs.
I hate to get money from my dad, but I have vowed that I will start paying him back, even if he doesn't want me to, as soon as the first couple of years of my job have passed and I can really get on my feet.
Either way, he really came through for me recently, moreso that I ever expected, so even though he doesn't read this: thanks old man....
