Winning is more than deserving

After a very nice conversation with a close friend, I came to the realization of something today that I feel I should share with everyone else. I cannot, however, explain this whole conversation to just anyone without first telling them about all the events that lead up to it, which consists of about eight or nine months. I am going to give a short (well, short to those who know the whole truth) story about how it all happened. For obvious reasons to some, I will have to change some things: first, the names of everyone involved; second, some minor details that do not make an incredibly large impact on the story as a whole. I apologize in advance if this post ends up becoming unreadably long or boring, but I promised myself I would make it.
