This entry is going to make me sound conceited, but I'm not, just remember that...

So, regionals was Friday and Saturday. On Friday, I had the One Act and my solo. I get there, and go into the Del Sol theatre classroom, which is filled with Egyptian artifacts for Ty, I mean Aida :)

Ashley shows up literally 5 minutes before we go on, and I think we did a pretty good job. I had to leave the evaluation because my solo round was starting soon. Of course, I had just screamed in my one act, so my voice was soar....and I'm about to go sing.

I get there, and Janay, Sara, Kristina, and Amber are there, saying that they are there to see me sing and then leave. Tara comes in a couple minutes after me and sits next to me. She tells me that Burrows told her that I was the most prepared out of anyone from Coronado.

I guess I had an advantage when I went, because the two performances before me were High School Musical. And they weren't that good. I get up to sing, and when I said my slate and said what song I was performing, the judges whispered "good choice".

I started singing towards Tara, but not directly to her....I should have though. My song was a love song. During it, I cracked once because of my voice being soar from the one act, but overall I thought it was a good run.

I left after that and went home. The next day, I went early to see Tara do A Step Too Far from Aida, and it was really good. Alex got asked to be the second Radames in Aida because of it.

Then me and Jennie went to perform our pantomime. We thought we did good, but the judges said that if we are going to take it to state, we need to get a new song for the end, cause you're not supposed to have lyrics.

Then I had to leave because I thought I needed dance shoes for Pippin, and so my mom and I went to get them. Of course, later on I found out I didn't need them. Anyways, I decide to head back to Del Sol, and I call Janay to tell her.

She told me that I had been picked for showcase and that I got the highest score on my song out of everyone from Coronado in any category. I was so inccredibly excited. Of course, I had Pippin rehearsal, so I couldn't do it, so Kristina Antuna did it. Mrs. Burrows called me into the classroom because she wanted to talk to me.

I went in and she said that I did an awesome job on my song, and that I would have been the showcase if I didn't have rehearsal. She said I worked really hard, and congratulated me. I was so happy.

Later on I found out that the one act got an excellent and Jennie and I's pantomime got an excellent! Well, that's regionals for this year.
