Dreams fail and wishes fade
to denied existence set and laid
above your head, beneath your feet.
Six feet down, stealing all the heat
that every bitter night brough
and each friend had thought
that no life would be better than this,
no life could thieve the ignorant bliss that both stole from deep below
the withering grass and melted snow
on the land that they did share
for just that night, they did snare
the moon's gleam and shattered reflection,
the sweet, young taste of their ressurection.
