i just finished packing, and i'm actually excited for camp now. very excited. i'll miss home, but its only summer, no big-ums.

so last night was ja9's pool par-tay and i wasn't as bored as i thought i'd be, at all. met some people who are pretty pretty cool, and went swimming. twas a good time. oh yeah, and i went to sandy hook with jeff and the fam. i am, in fact, the self-proclaimed world's best tunnel-system digger. far more important than a good sand-castle digger. bah, how immature.

so this is the mix that's supposed to last me the whole summer. i assure you it's been worked on for awhile and this is the result. attempted plot: we open with our young, optimistic, egotistical protagonist indulging in himself and his existence. following a bout with maturation, he decides to try to fall in love with the first girl he sees. he soon convinces everyone including himself of this seemingly-strong love, but he boldly decides to step back and examine the roots of this teenage love. this examination soon turns into a jealous and vengeful rhetoric. after this search for romantic enlightenment, he comes to the truth of the matter: that the original girl was the elusive one! our story ends with the hero expressing his ever-lasting, undying love for his lovely high school sweetheart. if you want a copy, tell me by tommorrow night.

without further ado, the mix:

1. Reel Big Fish - Good Time

2. The Smiths - This Charming Man

3. Lou Reed - I'm So Free

4. The New Amsterdams - Spoils of the Spoiled

5. Ben Gibbard - Carolina

6. The 6ths - Just Like a Movie Star

7. Eagles of Death Metal - I Only Want You

8. Mando Diao - Sheepdog

9. The White Stripes - It's True That We Love One Another

10. Regina Samson - Spektor

11. The Decemberists - The Engine Driver

12. Saul Williams - List of Demands

13. Actionslacks - I Hope This Makes It Easier For You

14. Elvis Costello - Less Than Zero

15. Rilo Kiley - Small Figures in a Vast Expanse

16. The Moldy Peaches - The Ballad of Helen Keller and Rip Van Winkle

17. The Magnetic Fields - It's Only Time

I think #17 is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. Indulge!
