o jesus. i went to the 311, OAR and something corporate show and had a BLAST. something corporate opened up and they were ok, andrew was so cute, and mmmhhh william tell. and then with all their glory, OAR dropped their beautiful banner and played what were the first of many beautiful chords to be strummed. the crowd went nuts. make macadamians.... and i dont think the energy and feeling that is felt at a concert could ever be explained. they ended with crazy game of poker and then hey girl, 2 of my personal favorites. then they wrapped up and the sun was finally set.
the gentle breeze of tobacco and marijuana swayed the enibriated crowd rythmically. and i felt like i belonged, like this was my family, we had all came from one reason, to party and listen the the chillest sounds and the phatest beats. my apprehension grew as the dj continued to play his mixes and all of a sudden i hear, do do do do doooo, do do do do dooooo do do do do do dodo do. oh you know what that is, AMBER and it wasnt really them it was just the dj still mixing but they started right afterwards and it was so fan-fucking-tastic i wanted to die right there. it was there that i first caught wind of that familiar friendly scent and i smiled to myself and breathed deep, oh i breathed deep. we were in the shitty seats allllll the way in bufu land when we originally had lawn seats but they were upgraded upon entry to auditorium for some reason. but the lawn had opened and it had rained that day and it was muddy. what do drunk/stoned people do best? dance. and whats more fun than dancing to 311 stoned and drunk? doing it in the mud. and thats what we did. we were originally initiated with hand prints on our asses gracefully endowed to us by eager boys. and then it was all out mud-chaos. i was slidding and jumping and having it sprayed at me. oh god. i love 311!!!! :) all i smelled was pot. oh my baby reefer, why do you tempt me and get me in so much trouble. but i didnt do it, i didnt smoke at all. promise.
i come home tomorrow, i leave ohio for another year. until next summer.
