Drink more ovaltine
Hope everyone's holidays have been great, mine was cool but in a "huh, well that was weird" sort of way. Besides the general weirdness with extended family nobody really got each other much in the way of gifts but for the most part we all didn't really need anything, so it didn't matter, I was happy just eating holiday meals and watching Christmas cartoons and TBS's annual looping of "A Christmas Story". My sister got me some cool presents for the house and entertaining, Scott got me a casino in a box so that was awesome, and from my parents I got the last LOTR box set which I had to hunt down myself at the very last minute since the phrase "it comes out today, you've been hounding me about what i want for xmas and so I tell you it is this and if you do indeed plan on getting it then GO TO THE STORE TODAY, as in when it comes out, there might be one left over from when all of the other geeks swarm in around 3am and snatch them out of the hands of the stockers at Wal Mart the night before" means absolutely nothing to them, or maybe I just said it in mandarin or Spanish or something. Anyway it was a fun holiday season.
Another thing I got for Xmas this year is that nasty virus that is hitting everyone. Thanks to the atomic antibiotics that I am taking it isn't hitting me as hard as it has everyone else, but it is still pretty nasty. Chris had it last week and ended up sleeping on the couch for days only able to eat toast and water, all in all I think he lost 10 pounds. Of course the week when I am pukey and haven't bathed and am working on laundry would be when we end up having house guests, damn it all. Nothing says welcome to our home like disease and pestilence, just allow me to go ride my horse bringing about the apocalypse and I will rejoin the conversation shortly. Anyways, I should be well soon enough if the antibiotics don't kill me first.
Oh, I found this little bit o' fun the other night http://www.tripletsandus.com/80s/80s_games/galaga.htm , it's bit different from the original (I am guessing so they don't get sued) but is fun, just don't try to get double ships the regular way since it's pointless (they just give them to you if you don't get killed). I also found this little gem http://www.mofunzone.com/online_games/street_fighter_flash.shtml , which once again is no substitute for the real thing but is better than nothing if you are stuck on a library pc or something. I keep thinking there was something else I was going to write about but can't seem to recall it right now, maybe later after some sleep I will remember and post about it if it is indeed cool.
