Is it me or has Mtv Espaniol started getting as crapulent as as it's English counterparts? When my family first got Charter cable we were like "wow, 5 Mtv channels, at least one of them has to be ok", and to our dismay it turned out they all might as well been called Mtv Hip Hop Blinging Explosion!, all that is but one, the red-headed stepchild of the group known as Mtv Espaniol. Remember when you could turn on M2 and see off the wall random stuff and it was a mix of every musical genre as well as varying degrees of quality, like they would let any video get played for at least a month no matter how unknown or poorly made? This is what Mtv Espaniol was like, and still is to some degree. Last night at 3am I turned it on an notice that it is no longer crazy cheap videos that dominate the channel but now several boy bands and slickly produced clones of the worst of what the English speaking music world has to offer. Looks like I will have to rely on the weather channel for my background-noise-while-working-needs from this point on.
