Oooh, look - another update!

Ahem, pardon my sarcasm. Ehhh, I know I'm bad at updating this ;;^ ^  But I've been busy!!! 2 weekends in a row of MUN conferences!!! - thank god that's all over. For the first one (2 weekends ago), I went up with my MUN club to Boston for a conference run by Harvard. IT WAS SOOO COLD UP THERE!!!  I don't think you can realize how much of a southerner you are until you go up north in the winter. Just walking 5 minutes from my hotel to the conference center was a horrible ordeal. Hehe, sorry for whining : P Williamsburg has its cold days, but lately it's been almost muggy. Of course, hearing that my house 2 hrs north of here got "snowed in" according to my parents (at least, there was a decent amount of snow anyways) kind of depresses me. I do like snow and wish there was more here .^ ^

While I was in Boston for the conference, I visited one of my two aunts who has had a baby recently (Yep, I have 2 new cousins in my family ^ ^).  I was really happy to see at least one of my 2 new cousins since we don't visit my mom's side of the family in the Massachusetts/Boston area that often (usually just once a year at Xmas), so it might not be until next Xmas that I see the new baby boy again (and when I finally get to see my new baby girl cousin). My cousin Sam was only 3 weeks old when I saw him and he was sooooo little!!! And kawaii too. *beams* It was really hard to see the color of his eyes for some reason....he hardly ever opened them, and when he did, they looked like some indiscernible mixture of blue, brown, and grey. My aunt told me that babies' eyes can change color up to six months after they're born (I did not know that!), so it might be awhile before we can know the color for sure. It was also kind of cute to see my aunt & uncle being hyperactive new parents and fussing so much over the baby. Everytime he cried, they would go, "Does he need to be changed? Does he need to eat more?" etc. etc. I remember my mom looking after Mark (her fourth one ^ ^ ) and she hardly ever fussed over him like that. It's not like she neglected him - rather, you definitely can tell when someone is not a new parent, b/c they don't go "OMG, OMG, what does he need?!" when their baby cries.^ ^  But like I said, my aunt and uncle are cute with their "new parent" behavior. : D Also, just seeing them & Sam reminded me of how much work babies are - within the hour of my visit he had to be changed once and fed 3 times!! So while I enjoy seeing other people's babies (and having new cousins ^ ^ ), I don't want one of my own anytime soon : P
