back from johnson city...it was quite an adventure. we borrowed a friend's van from nashville to go and lets see...it was about six hours total? yeah i think that's right. so we get there and it's a little hole in the wall place, not even bigger than our practice room. this was cool though, because if alot of people are there then it makes it more fun in a tight place. the three bands that played before us were pretty good...don't remember the name of the first but showdown was good, besides their wannabe rockstar singer, and redwinterdying was good as always. asilaydying decided they we're going to play before us for some reason, i am assuming because it was already 11:00 and they hadn't played yet. yeah so they played and were amazing, but they failed to mention that we were playing after them. luckily the show organizer announced that there was still a band left to play, right? haha well we got to play in front of about ten kids, five being those that we brought. the other five being asilaydying, and maybe a few more stragglers that were bike riders and wanted to see seth's band. so we drove six hours to play in front of ten kids and make just enough money to break even for gas. but i can't complain too much, i'm sure there will be more of this to come and i have to keep my chin up. i think that i get depressed when things don't go as planned with this band. i've said this before but this is all i hold on to. my parents live 700 miles away. i have no significant other. i guess you could say this makes me lonely. all i have are my friends, my band, and god. these things mean more to me me than anything else in this world. so count your blessings. thanksgiving is coming up. what is really important to you. think about this and take a little time to thank god for the few or many blessings that you have. the few i have mean more to me than a nice car, or money, or a set place to live, or having a decent meal everday. take the time to smell the flowers and appreciate the things that money can't buy..
