(no subject)
Now that my first show is over...
It went surprisingly well, considering how nervous I was getting leading up to it. For some reason I never was one to be nervous until JUST BEFORE something happened... so the weeks leading up to the show were OK, but the 30 minutes before turned my stomach into spaghetti.
I played well enough, but I was backwards on a couple of songs, so I kinda fucked up a little bit, but the majority of the time I was spot-on. Even pulled out a couple of little rockstar tricks once nervousness gave up, like jumping on my amp during Power o' Shop and doing a fucking wicked (and wicked painful) power slide. Tenacious D would've been proud, but my knee looks like I slid on a floor of concrete sponges.
But the show was awesome. What I find odd to believe is that I occasionally fucked up a song (though not so bad that it was "oh my god this band sucks" noticeable, but I pulled off the Tetris solo and Super Mario Bros. perfectly, something I hadn't been able to do in awhile.
Thanks to the Wrong Number guys (especially Jay, who definitely hyped the shit out of me) and to everyone who came.
