It's a few days late, but I do this every year, so here it is :)
2006
1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before? Got a regular full time job with benefits! Felt like I was acting my age (social life) :) Oh, and I bought a car!!!
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? Don't make them. I figure I'll either do something or I won't... no need for a fake promise to myself.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Don't think so... man, I hope I'm not forgetting something

4. Did anyone close to you die? Actually, I think this is the first year in a long time that I didn't go to one funeral.
5. What countries did you visit? I believe that the only vacation in 2006 was a weekend trip to Savannah... and lots of trips to Gardens (but that's not really a vacation). So, just the USA... but unless something ruins my plans, Italy next year!!
6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006? Heh... my own apartment, the feeling that I'm not over my head (this probably won't come until late summer, but it'll happen), and a few other things that I don't feel like telling the world.
7. What dates from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? April 4 - Last day at Siemens, April 10 - First day at Lockheed, September 5 - First day at my first regular full-time job... I guess that's it, since nothing else is popping up... what a career-centered year!
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Getting the job I was looking for and doing well... and making (or getting back in touch with) a few really good friends.
9. What was your biggest failure? There were a few people I think I let down... but I think (hope) I made up for it by the end of the year.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? Not really... nothing major, anyway.
11. What was the best thing you bought? My car! (but who cares about material things, really... I don't like this question)
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? Danielle's behavior always merits celebration... overall, anyway... I mean, she's not perfect lol ;) Don't know who else... it was a relatively drama-free year for me, so I didn't get to see a lot of that side of people... no wait, Tina... huge celebration for that one.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? Although there are a few that made this category, I am not the type to announce that kind of behavior (you'd have to be really bad for me to do that).
14. Where did most of your money go? GASOLINE! ... sadly
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? buying a car, hanging out with old friends, searching for my own place, my current job, meeting new people :)
16. What song will always remind you of 2006? There are a few, but Blake Shelton - Some Beach and Matt Maher - Canticle of Zechariah (Declare Victory! You set us free!)
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? I'm pretty sure I'm happier
b) thinner or fatter? Not sure... probably fatter
c) richer or poorer? Richer... in several ways!
18. What do you wish you'd done more of? oh, I don't know... enjoy life for more of the year
19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Complaining and being stubborn
20. How will you be spending Christmas? Spent it in Miami with my family
22. Did you fall in love in 2006? sort of, but not really (lol... because I'm never vague... or sarcastic for that matter)
23. How many one-night stands? one and a half lol
24. What was your favorite TV program? House, Grey's Anatomy, Studio 60, Heroes, Ugly Betty... I'm sure there are a couple others
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? I don't think I hate anyone at all
26. What was the best book you read? Honestly, probably "He's just not that into you"... it's funny how even though I know everything they talked about, it still happens to me all the freakin time. It was slightly insulting and extremely entertaining... besides being very educational :) ... and I'm reading The Quarterlife Crisis... also good.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery? The Fray, Aqualung, Snow Patrol, Augustana... I'm sure there were others...
28. What did you want and get? More of a social life... a better relationship with several people... the job... and a Sansa mp3 player lol
29. What did you want and not get? a couple things that I'm now thankful for not getting
30. What was your favorite film of this year? hmmm... based on the very limited selection of films I saw this year... you know what, I can't even answer this question... so sad... I have to catch up
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? Party at my house and then downtown with friends... 23
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? nothing... it was a decent year and there's no fun in getting what you want all the time
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006? mostly business casual with too many days of interview attire and a healthy amount of casual/going out clothes
34. What kept you sane? My friends, for the most part... and leaving things up to God
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? I always hate this question... um... Johnny Depp and John Cusack are always up there... for different reasons (obviously lol)
36. What political issue stirred you the most? I don't want to talk about it... this is usually a topic I like to avoid with people
37. Who did you miss? oh man... so many people... I can't even begin to list them... it's been a rough few months as far as that goes
38. Who was the best new person you met? Chris... and Jenn
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006: Stop trying so hard.
