Stitching.

Made for a dear friend who is going through a crap time.

Stitching and patching up are never easy tasks. We often stumble when we thread the needle, fidget as we place the patch over what has been torn, and poke our fingers while we fumble with the needle. Soon, we become frustrated with the entire process and breakdown. It's impossible. We don't want to do it. We'll never be fixed. Negativity clouds our minds and slows us down. What's the point? This is when we allow the threads to be cut.

Never forget there are people out there who will help you. Never be afraid to seek help. Stray away from those who carry scissors while under the guise of false friendship and empty words. Cling to those who respond with no intention to keep you from fixing what has been harmed. You'd be surprised how many people out there who will lend you the thread and thimble you will need to patch up your wound.

I know I am one of them.

The music video for Tegan and Sara's "Walking with the Ghost" was the visual inspiration for the drawing. I had the song on repeat while I finished the piece in CS3.
