And now for some page stretching...
For the four Mondays before my birthday (Technically, three Mondays before and one Monday after), I'm going to draw four sets of four-paged comics based off four prompts I receive from friends. I have already asked one friend for the October 25 prompt and will start scratching down the doodlingcomic as soon as I get my reply! Most likely, I will weave the prompt into a comic based around my life (After all, it's for my b-day!). And just to get it out there: these aren't meant to be pretty or professional. They are a way for me to have fun, express myself, and prep myself for surviving 24 years as a human being. I may use more than one media for the comics (Traditional, digital, collage, photographs, words, etc.) just to test out how far I can push myself as an artist.
I think it'll be fun and I hope all you cool kids enjoy it! Ego-trip, blasting off!
Looking at the calendar, I realize how fast Halloween is approaching and how soon October is going to end. Holy Seamus, where did the time go?
But in a way, I am glad to see October end. October has been a total whoa month for me. And heck, 'bout time to give way to November. There's so much going on next month! Betcha if I blink, it'll be December. Calendar-wise, there's my birthday, Wurstfest, Thanksgiving, the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, and of course:
