SO, I just got back from Myrtle Beach where I visited Dr. Dutton and Jean Dutton, the grandparents. They're doing a lot better - my grandmother is in rehab for her "after heart-attack" monitoring and my grandfather is taking Aricept along with L-DOPA for his Parkinsons and I really think it's helping the schizophrenic-like behavior side-effects. I am really excited to see they're doing really good. ALSO, when I was there my grandmother filled me in on some Dutton family history including a brief run-down of how my grandfather fought in WWII, my great-grandfather fought in WWI, and my great-great (great?) grandfather fought on the Union side during the Civil War. Also, my great-great-great-(great?) grandfather, Solomon Spalding, who was a retired priest and decided to write a little novel about a made-up religion. This novel has been added to a little book I like to call the Book of Mormon.

Anyway, if you look back long enough everyone is related to everyone else - but I really think elderly people should be forced into writing memoirs... so I can read them..
