Mercy DAMN it all man, yours looks like it was a million times more fun. Vancouver had a batch of people loosely standing around in the damp, not really doing much of interest at all.

I don't think London can take full credit, LOTS of people travelled from all around the country to London because they knew it would be THE BIG ONE, making it as ace as it was. A good half of the people we spoke to had bussed in from somewhere.

But it was a proper good turnout :)

You guys did one thing of interest to us all - Without you there would have been *no* protest at CoS in Vancouver. Now, it's another city in a long, long list of global sites of public protest that CoS have to take account of.

I'm VERY pleased to report that the faggotry that has characterised the online uproar was not in any way in evidence IRL.

In fact, before the event, people were getting the BIG smackdown on the IRC channel for Talking Dumb, and being very firmly instructed by some very clued people on how to protest well and safely, and on the ground, the *very* few examples of dickheads were roundly castigated and shamed into chilling the fuck out.

It turns out that in meat-space, anonymous throws a damn good protest.
