Theatrical Muse Topic #420: First
What used to come first for me was family, work, fun, love... the usual things that make a human being happy. But slowly all those were stripped away from me. And now the rotten cancer has made me both weak and strong. It changed me in some ways for the worse, and in others for the better.
What comes first for me now is life itself.
Appreciating the simple fact of being alive, of existing. Of being able to draw one breath and know that another will soon follow. Being grateful for the sunrise, or the soothing coolness of a glass of water. Knowing how precious childhood memories are, or how wise the words of the philosophers can be. Friendship, tenderness, music and laughter... it may sound cliched, but these things are vital and there are so many that have these all around them and show no gratitude whatsoever.
It's these people who are my test subjects, those who I want to play my games.
