Last night I met the guy who ran the shows for Four Brick Walls Cafe the venue of my very first show. A spot in River Falls Mall that kept a portion of the mall open late for live music. At 14 this was the coolest thing ever. He then went on to own Tomasos Pizza which also had shows. I couldnt thank him enough. Hed been dropping in and hanging out for my shows for awhile but we never met till last night. What an honor to say the least. Had there not been those places im not sure where id be. Music got me through the rough patch of adolescence.. i hadnt felt i belonged anywhere till then. As ive said before i just want kids to find that same peace of mind with what i try to do. I want them to have a safe place they can go to see bands that will change their lives. I want them to go on to give back and help others. Thats always in the back of my mind. thatll always be whats important to me.
