Todays BUSCH race was really emotional. On lap 3 every person at Talledegga held three fingers up in the air for the most winningest driver at Talledegga. DEI(Dale Earnhardt Inc) and Dale Jr's team both ran special paint schemes that resembled Dale Sr.'s car(all black with silver and red on the bottom). Martin Truex Jr won the race for Chance 2 Motorsports(Dale Jr's team). His car look exactly like Dale's did.
My mother was telling me that at the Nascar Hall of Fame's ceremony for inducting Dale Earnhardt that his old crew chief, Kirk Shelmerdine, rolled the black number 3 car out for everyone to see. When she said that, a tsunami of emotions hit me. There was his old crew chief standing right next to the black number 3 after 19 years. Earnhardt won 5 championships with Kirk during the 8 years he was with the team(1984-1992).
It was amazing to see that scheme on the track after 5 years without it.
