Yesterday was a mix of agony and leisure. I spent 8 hours working at a local greenhouse transplanting switchgrass to raise money for my church's mission trip. In short, my hands and back will never be the same.
However, after I had finished my labor, my father drove me over to
Bill's Gun Shop & Range, where we tried out a Glock 19 and an H & K USP compact. It was as fun as hell; 9mm Parabellum slugs are a joy to shoot, especially with silouette targets. I would have had a better time if one moron hadn't been blasting away with a .44 Magnum, though. The damn gun was louder than a jackhammer, even with hearing protection.
Still, I'm grateful we came.
