"Little Master!" her black high-heels clacked loudly on the stone floor, blue skirt swishing with each twist of her body. The boy had disappeared from her sight once again. She huffed. At least she had managed to get him to bathe-- even if he had ran away as soon as he was dry.
But she knew just where he'd go-- to the Prince's chambers and hide them both from her and Igor, who was supposed to be teaching Sorcery to the Prince.
Alice tightened her white corset and repaired one of the strings that had been cut in the failed struggle to keep the Little Master still for long enough to force him into clothes, but he had been perfecting his elemental spells ever since the last murder attempt on the Prince.
"It's my duty and purpose to protect the Prince," her Little Master's voice sounds from a memory, cold and very much unlike the young behavior he had most of the time, "This man got too close and I almost failed to protect him. What does that say about me?" And truthfully, Alice does not want to see that smile ever again.
She sighed, but shook her head and began the long walk to the Prince's chambers. She took no note that the door she crossed, though blending in her surroundings, took a form she had never seen before.
And since the Little Master loved to play pranks... it took her a while to notice she had left her world.
((This little snippet is "right before she entered the Velvet Mall", and slightly explaining her world. I'll write more soon.))
