The shelter did end up taking the cats from the Meriden hoarder. It wasn't fifty, it was sixty-seven. I don't know if anyone here can picture that many cats, so let's just say it's a shitload. It turns out that the house they were taken from wasn't a house either, but a two-bedroom apartment.

I don't know if British post does this, but here you can get mailing boxes that cost the same to ship no matter how much what you put in it weighs. It's good for shipping books and things that aren't large but weigh a lot.

I saw an R2-D2 post box here once and it was the coolest thing ever. the post office can do whatever they want so long as I can see Star Wars boxes around.
