Holoplatys Cuteashellinus

OK, so cuteashellinus isn't a real word, nor is it the spider's classification, but this is the dude who I disturbed today while putting up the tree and lights.

If you're severely arachnaphobic, skip this whole journal XD

He's not that big, little smaller than a white-tail.
I took photos to show my mates on AIM, and Kaitie found a classification:

He was very cute.
Don't get me wrong, I AM still arachnophobic, but not severely.
Its not an easy life being highly arachnaphobic in Australia, hence me fighting it down a fair amount since my younger years.

Because he's aessentially a type of jumping spider, he was looking around very slowly, crawling all over the roof to try and find a new home.
He watched me and faced me when I came near him, and at one point assumed a leg tucked pose that said 'you can't see me! I don't exist!' XD

Eventually i decided i really had to put him out, so i got a plastic takeaway container and a thick sheet of paper.
Smart little bastard kept getting in between the paper and roof to foil my trap.
I ended up cutting out the side of a cardboard bird-seed box and it didn't flex, so he couldn;t get under it, hurr.
Put him outside and he hid under a leaf.

So yea, this journal is pointless as fuck, carry-on.

lolwut, spiders
