Camp Camp Camp Camp Camp

The week that I just spent at camp was the best week I've had in a long time. So, before I go any farther, I want to say 'Harrison Boys, for life, yeah yeah'. Anyway. It rocked. I didn't go in expecting much more than to grow closer to God, but so much more happened. I made some awesome new friends, made some awesome memories, learned some stuff, and most importantly, grew WAY WAY WAY closer to God.
The first thing that happened to me, after I got off the bus, was getting nearly clotheslined by Megan, who took off at a full sprint right at me when she saw me leave the bus (which was ghetto). Then I signed up for stuff and got settled into the cabin that would eventually bring to the guys camp some of the funniest things of the entire week. The Harrison Boys: Skylar, Mike, Andy, Randy, Me, Anthony and Rick.
So much stuff happened and I can't even write all of it, cuz I don't know if I can remember it all. Aside from Anthony yelling at Skylay every day ("Skylar, what are you doing?" or "Don't be/Quit being that guy"), meeting one of the coolest dudes, Al, who is more crazy and random that me and Andy at our peaks.
On another note, I did learn how to do hemp and knit. However, I hate knitting cuz it's friggin tough.
There was a luau/water balloon fight Wednesday night. It was soooo sweet soaking people hand grenade style. And then right as the war was winding down, Megan's dad broke out the water balloon launcher and me, and Andy and Al were bombing people. Oh yah. lol.
That same night, it was messy game night, but I didn't do anything cuz I had a migraine. But the funnest part was the 5 man shower of Andy, Skylar, Brayden, Austin and Me.
But I think the best part of the entire week was Friday night, the Last Hurrah for the seniors. It was particularly exciting for me, because I was one of 4 seniors to get up and speak in front of the camp. I shared my testimony for the first time in my life, and it was an awesome feeling. I was so nervous before I got down there, but when I did, all that fear and anxiety was wiped away and I began to talk. I talked about how my faith problems began when my Grandma died, and went down hill when I was dating an occultic leaning atheist girl, and how Andy showed up at my job and invited me to a bible study and how he brought me to Christ. It was amazing, and I could tell because as soon as I was done, Andy came up to me, bawling, and gave me the biggest hug I have ever got from him. I cried right then, and thanked God that he had sent Andy into my life and had used him in my life when he did, because if Andy had never invited me to that Bible study, I don't know where I would be right now, but I know that it wouldn't be where I am now, both personally and spiritually. Camp was amazing. To get really deep, I felt like I came in with a torch for my faith and left with a gigantic ball of flame in the torche's place. Such an amazing thing. I really felt God this week, and I want to keep that flame at least as big as it is now, but hopefully bigger. I will never forget the things that happened (Al's shark attack, bus ride up and back, spooning watching the camp dvd/slideshow, etc). I am truly thankful for all that happened to me at this camp. Hopefully, with God's will, I will return to Lake Louise as a counselor.
